ABOUT

Sheryl Cole is a nature-loving illustrator, artist and design director based near the beach in Melbourne, Australia.

She grew up on a farm in New Zealand surrounded by animals, birds and bush on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other. When Sheryl wasn’t outside curiously playing she was inside creating inspired by it all.

Sheryl is still out in nature every day, collaborating with her surrounds, connecting with the colour, textures and energy of the natural world and finding inspiration to explore in her studio. Travel adventures, healthy wondrous foods, a good chai, SUPing, hiking and photography make her heart sing too.

Sheryl’s happy place is designing, illustrating and developing products which inspire natures joy. Capturing the playful spirit and details of nature; native birds, animals, insects, flora, botanicals and abstract forms using watercolour, gouache ink and pencil - carefully combining them to create digital compositions ready for printing on a variety of surfaces. The lush, spontaneous flow of watercolour feels like it’s painting itself.

Sheryl loves working with nature-loving businesses on branding, packaging, surface design illustrations and special commissions. She is proud to be part of a community celebrating nature and encouraging others to reconnect with it and consume thoughtfully.
